Mind & Body of Christ

About

Mind and Body of Christ is a Catholic publishing studio creating editorial content, books, and formation tools for individuals and families.

We exist because we believe the faith must be lived in the body and the mind—not merely believed in the abstract. The Catholic tradition teaches that the human person is an integrated whole: body, mind, and soul, each capable of formation, each ordered toward the love of God and neighbor.

Our work draws on Scripture, the Catechism, the saints, and the lived experience of ordinary Catholic life. We are faithful to the Magisterium. We are accessible to all Christians. We are serious about the faith without being severe about ourselves.

What Shapes Publications

The body matters.

Physical discipline—exercise, fasting, sleep, restraint—is not optional self-improvement. It is part of Christian formation. We name it explicitly because the tradition does.

The mind can be formed.

Mental fitness and resilience are not the same as positive thinking. We affirm that anxiety, depression, and the struggles of daily life are real experiences in a fallen world—and that structure, meaning, and faithful practice can support genuine recovery and strength.

Virtue is built through habit.

The cardinal virtues—prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance—are not ideals to admire but habits to form over a lifetime. Our content is designed around this understanding.

The faith is passed on, not consumed.

Everything we create is meant to be used, shared, and lived—especially between parents and children. We make material that families can trust.

Start small. Stay faithful.

We believe in a modest core practice with room to deepen over time. Consistency matters more than intensity. Fidelity matters more than performance.

On Mental Health

We speak honestly about the mind—its strength and its suffering. While we do not provide clinical care, our content supports mental health by promoting disciplined daily structure, meaning rooted in vocation, hope grounded in Christ, and practices that reject New Age spirituality in favor of the Catholic tradition.

Faith and psychological care are complementary, not opposed. We believe recovery and peace are possible.

Founding

This studio was founded by a Catholic father seeking to integrate prayer, discipline, and mental fitness into daily family life. While personal experience informs the work, the mission extends beyond any one individual.

Our contributors include parents, writers, and practitioners who share a commitment to orthodoxy and the formation of Catholic life in the modern world.

Strengthening body and mind in service to Christ and His world.
